Dyslexia & Visual Stress
Dyslexia is a condition that affects a person literary and numerical development. Symptoms of dyslexia may include jumbling up words and letters, substituting similar words instead of the correct word, and poor motor skills or clumsiness. Sufferers of dyslexia often describe white pages as dazzling, and that letters on a page appear to dance about. Using intuitive colorimetry, we can often prescribe a tint that can be applied to spectacles that dramatically reduce some of these effects of dyslexia. If the patient does not require prescription glasses then this tint can be applied to plain spectacle lenses. Ask about colorimetry on your next visit if you feel you might benefit from this treatment.
